In short
- We only use cookies that make the site work and keep it secure, plus one cookie that credits affiliates who referred you.
- No advertising, analytics or social-media tracking cookies. That is why we show an information notice rather than a consent banner.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things between pages and visits — for example that you are logged in. Similar technologies (such as local storage) are covered by this policy too.
2. Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| mythicdeals-session | Keeps you logged in and remembers your session from page to page. | 120 minutes after your last activity | Strictly necessary |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Security token that protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Same as the session | Strictly necessary |
| go_did | Random device identifier used to detect fraud (for example one browser used to sign into many accounts) and to secure logins. | 2 years | Strictly necessary (security) |
| go_device | Set only if you tick "trust this device" during two-factor login, so you are not asked for a code on this browser. | 30 days | Strictly necessary (requested by you) |
| go_locale | Remembers the language you chose (English or French). | 365 days | Functional (requested by you) |
| go_ref | Set only when you open an affiliate's referral link. Records the referral code so the affiliate is credited if you sign up. Last referral link wins. | 30 days | Affiliate referral |
| go_cookie_ok | Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice. | 365 days | Functional |
Cookies set by our server are encrypted, so their content cannot be read or altered by others.
3. Third-party content
We do not place third-party advertising or analytics cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and the two-factor setup page loads a QR-code script from Cloudflare's cdnjs; these providers receive your IP address and browser information when the files are downloaded, as described in the Privacy Policy. Payment pages operated by our payment partners (for example Xendit) are governed by their own cookie policies.
4. Your choices
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off on the site because login, security and checkout depend on them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of MythicDeals — logging in, buying and selling — will then not work.
The referral cookie is only set when you arrive through an affiliate link. You can delete it at any time in your browser; this only means no affiliate is credited for your sign-up.
If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
